On September 22 we held our annual Student Awards of Excellence (aka the "Goats and Chickens Awards"). At the end of every school year we give the highest performing students recognition for their excellent academic results. The top student in each grade received a goat with the second and third performing students receiving chickens.
As hunger is at an all time high, a reliable food source was requested again this year (as was last year) instead of a party like we've done previously, with the goats providing a healthy supply of milk and the chickens providing a reliable egg supply and eventual meat when the chickens are unable to produce eggs any longer.
In total, 44 students received an Award of Excellence. While we recognize our top students in this way, we are extremely proud of ALL of our students!!!
Our top-performing students received either a goat or chickens to award their excellent
academic results for the past school year.

On the first day of school (on October 1st this year) the Excellence Students who attend Rèstoration Christian Academy (RCA) were recognized by marching in separately donning medals of achievement.
"We really appreciated the way you chose to honor this year's excellent students. Regarding my child who received a goat, we hope to grow it to give children and this will constitute a sort of savings for my daughter. So in the future, this could help her meet certain personal needs."
