Restore Haiti's founder, Philip Peters, sponsored Robertho Vio Nelson (Vio) for over 12 years. As a youngster, Vio didn't have much hope and life was difficult for him and his family. Vio's dream is to become a sound engineer and beat maker, something that would not have been possible to achieve without being sponsored. Vio has now finished with school and chose not to continue onto college, but is planning on taking English classes. He is now an employee of Restore Haiti, filming and editing videos for sponsors and for our social media. He enjoys playing soccer, editing videos and mixing music. He lives in the Morne Oge community that we support.

"Hello, I remember 12 years ago as if it were yesterday!!!😊, long before meeting you I was a little boy abandoned by his father!!! and my mother didn't have enough means to take care of us, it was very difficult for us to live because there was no hope for us to live well!!, things were difficult, until the day God came to put someone in our path, someone out of nowhere, it's like a little drop of water in the middle of a desert and that person was you Philip Peters, from that moment you all started to play a big role in my life, what is the role of a father, the role of a family, You changed my life, you changed my destiny, you gave me a beautiful story , you gave meaning to my life, everything I am today is thanks to you and thanks to God too!!!! Thank you for everything you have done for me and my family through me!! And I thank you for not giving up on helping me and helping everyone!!!
